In the 5th minute, Aloísio Chulapa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Prudencio Otsoko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Lesardo in the 8th minute of play. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Lesardo in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Simon Nikola hit a great ball. Prudencio Otsoko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Chulapa in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Lesardo to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Otsoko came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Divina Comédia FC's Luiz Fabiano Gøl. But to his dismay, Luiz Fabiano Gøl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Jerrald in the 29th minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Ceni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Lesardo went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Arnulfo Seme got a free kick in the 36th minute. The long shot by Váldson Lopes in the 40th minute really tested Prudencio Otsoko's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Divina Comédia FC's Geraldo Prado got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Divina Comédia FC's Luiz Fabiano Gøl in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formentera's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The crowd rose to their feet as Formentera's Isaias Lesardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Ceni. That made the score 2-3 after 54 minutes of play. 58 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Gøl came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Simon Nikola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Divina Comédia FC the free kick. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. The Formentera players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
