The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Campidelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Jerrald. 6 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Chulapa came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute of the match Divina Comédia FC got a corner. Formentera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frederico Varela ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Divina Comédia FC's Aloísio Chulapa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Maurin got free with Bebeto Campidelis in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the game, Formentera's Arnulfo Seme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebeto Campidelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Maurin in the 15th minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Nilton Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Veiga. Robustiano Policarpio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bebeto Campidelis. Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Gøl hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Prado came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Chulapa in the 38th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Prudencio Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Rosado's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Rosado helped the player get up and apologised. Frank Rosado hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Santiago Maurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Campidelis having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Gøl came free, but Prudencio Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Christian Jerrald recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bebeto Campidelis. Christian Jerrald showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fabiano Gøl to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Formentera defense, Luiz Fabiano Gøl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prudencio Otsoko. The Formentera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prudencio Otsoko should have stopped the shot. Christian Jerrald took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto Campidelis. Bebeto Campidelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With a little luck, Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko got control of the ball when Geraldo Prado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prudencio Otsoko was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Aloísio Chulapa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aloísio Chulapa really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Prudencio Otsoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Prado in the 75th minute of the match. Divina Comédia FC's Bebeto Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Maurin in the 77th minute of play. Camilo Hernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Hernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Frederico Varela from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Prudencio Otsoko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 90th match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Varela to maneuver through the defense. When Pastor Oriche came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Formentera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Oriche couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Divina Comédia FC's Aloísio Chulapa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Prudencio Otsoko. That made the score 3-4 after 94 minutes of play. The Formentera supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Divina Comédia FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Divina Comédia FC.
