Teo Phelipe started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Teo Phelipe got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Pegaso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Aloísio Chulapa scored to the left of an out of position Silvestre Toribio, making the score, 1-0. Silvestre Toribio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Gøl in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Pegaso getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mauricio Celio hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Pegaso's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Varela came free, but Silvestre Toribio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With splendid footwork Luiz Fabiano Gøl arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 11th minute. After 14 minutes, Teo Phelipe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pegaso and the Divina Comédia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teo Phelipe kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Anselmo Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pegaso's goalkeeper Silvestre Toribio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23rd play minutes Luiz Fabiano Gøl shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Silvestre Toribio and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 25th match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Gøl to maneuver through the defense. When Geraldo Prado fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Divina Comédia FC's protests and gave Geraldo Prado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pegaso booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Phelipe in the 33rd minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Rosado hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Anselmo Iraido took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bebeto Campidelis. Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dorian Valladares hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Teo Phelipe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bebeto Campidelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Aloísio Chulapa came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Divina Comédia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Chulapa couldn't finish the play. Pegaso's Fermin Deunoro was substituted for Angelino Cebo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Gøl made a kick off. After some careless play in the Divina Comédia FC defense, Teo Phelipe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bebeto Campidelis. The Divina Comédia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebeto Campidelis should have stopped the shot. Fermin Deunoro took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto Campidelis. Bebeto Campidelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Silvestre Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Chulapa in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Dorian Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Teo Phelipe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bebeto Campidelis. Divina Comédia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teo Phelipe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Silvestre Toribio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Cerezo in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, José Paulo Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pegaso's Anselmo Iraido shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bebeto Campidelis but with some difficulty. The supporters of Divina Comédia FC booed when Pegaso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Phelipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Váldson Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Divina Comédia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pegaso the free kick. Divina Comédia FC's Bebeto Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Deunoro in the 89th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Divina Comédia FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
