In the 37th minute, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's 任竞剑 seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed 任竞剑 the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of San Lorenzo de Sarandi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and 任竞剑 had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kay Oppenheim got free with Stef Vallejos in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The San Lorenzo de Sarandi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
