Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Túlio Maravilha started the match with the kick off. João Vítor Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Paz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes in the game Dário Moreira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Túlio Maravilha. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Paz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ismael Secco struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmares Futebol Clube. Ismael Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Túlio Maravilha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Túlio Maravilha put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The audience was convinced that Túlio Maravilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Moreira during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Palmares Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luisinho Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Luisinho Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's João Ferreira got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Leonardo Paz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After 55 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Botelho. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Alfredo Botelho made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmares Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Leonardo Paz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61st play minutes Túlio Maravilha shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmares Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Leonardo Paz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Secco. Palmares Futebol Clube's Thomás Maia was substituted for Luisinho Nogueira. Palmares Futebol Clube's João Carlos Antunes was substituted for Jarbas Porto. After 68 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Secco. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Maravilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmares Futebol Clube's Túlio Maravilha. But to his dismay, Túlio Maravilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palmares Futebol Clube.
