With his leg Rolando Noboa managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Valle Saron's Gianfranco Saron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 11 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Gianfranco Saron came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niceto Arixo who took care of the corner kick. After 15 minutes, Pepito Saron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valle Saron and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. 19 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianfranco Saron. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
