Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lilcho Ilchov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lilcho Ilchov in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Holin Probohudono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Holin Probohudono, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 8 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dante Lacasa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Ray Clemence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 26th minute of the match. Frederico Hendrickx's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 32nd minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lilcho Ilchov spun around in front of the goal 39 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mexico's goal. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Frederico Hendrickx made the kick off in the second half. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Clemence having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ray Clemence was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Ray Clemence came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. PHOENIX SC made a substitution. Samai Asmawan replaced Holin Probohudono. Frederico Hendrickx kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Samai Asmawan came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ray Clemence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Frederico Hendrickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Clemence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ray Clemence made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 89 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After 90 played minutes PHOENIX SC got a freekick which was hit by Phoenix Kante. When PHOENIX SC's Samai Asmawan in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Mexico played a much better game than PHOENIX SC and deserved their victory. The PHOENIX SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
