With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gao Le Ang tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Gao Le Ang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Gao Le Ang took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. If Gao Le Ang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Marcico might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Marcico ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Gao Le Angs short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustus Ingersholm in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejo Patrido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isa Günyol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. O-TT-O were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nikki Vesternæs took the corner. Olayo Gallarde kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Isa Günyol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the O-TT-O players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
