Potrero booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes, C. A. Potrero's Celestino Sidro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Potrero reached it. In the 43rd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucio Ur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 45th minute of play. Lucio Ur came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. A hard shot 49 in the game by Mateusz Marajda from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved.

Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Onur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucio Ur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Lu Lin Zhou notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Lucio Ur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
