FLAMENGO San Sebastian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Dios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FLAMENGO San Sebastian made a substitution. Tibo Mampaerts replaced Faruk Nafiz Arman. Guillermo Mariano made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Pedro Dios. A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Mariano in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Pedro Dios. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Pancho in the 45th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Angelo Fresnos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute of the match. Angelo Fresnos made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after FLAMENGO San Sebastian's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Fresnos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Angelo Fresnos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FLAMENGO San Sebastian from getting a goal against them. In the 76th minute Emiliano Pancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Emiliano Pancho got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiliano Pancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emiliano Pancho ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Pancho in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, Emiliano Pancho notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Angelo Fresnos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 91st minute of the match Louis Japón sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Angelo Fresnos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 92nd minute of play. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
