Angelo Fresnos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Angelo Fresnos made a huge save. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emiliano Pancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than FLAMENGO San Sebastian and deserved their victory. The FLAMENGO San Sebastian players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
