Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice. But to his dismay, Erwann Patrice quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Quintana came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Félicien Boidin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tim Ménet sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Erwann Patrice put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erwann Patrice. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Willy Hautefeuille stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Willy Hautefeuille tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. When Félicien Boidin came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cosa nostra Lyon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Félicien Boidin couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Junior Quintana to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Willy Hautefeuille shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Clem Fath was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willy Hautefeuille, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwann Patrice in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Junior Quintana in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes, Junior Quintana made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Erwann Patrice had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erwann Patrice was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erwann Patrice's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Clem Fath in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Cosa nostra Lyon's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 73rd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwann Patrice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Junior Quintana struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa nostra Lyon. When Cosa nostra Lyon's Félicien Boidin in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
