Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lilcho Ilchovs short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Axel Montenegro hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lilcho Ilchov. 15 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Holin Probohudono came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 20th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PHOENIX SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Clemence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's attack was well implemented in the 29th minute, but when Abram Sarmiento was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Ray Clemence stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Colombia got a corner. PHOENIX SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Kevin Mastache to score against Ray Clemence in PHOENIX SC's goal. 1-1 after 33 minutes. In the 39th match minute, PHOENIX SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holin Probohudono to maneuver through the defense. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 43rd minute of play. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Clemence having to interfere. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pascual Carballar hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Ray Clemence when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frederico Hendrickx in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. In the 57th minute Lilcho Ilchov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lilcho Ilchov in the 60th minute of play. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ray Clemence made a huge save. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by PHOENIX SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Abram Secada got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ray Clemence quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the PHOENIX SC defense, Kevin Mastache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ray Clemence. The PHOENIX SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ray Clemence should have stopped the shot. PHOENIX SC's Aryeh Markovich was substituted for Lilcho Ilchov. The PHOENIX SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Colombia's performance. The match ended with a win for Colombia.
