After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Junior Soprano quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's goalkeeper Junior Soprano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Barral in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Soprano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adhemar Peixoto in the 23rd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the HOSATO★★★★★VKRT defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Junior Soprano. The HOSATO★★★★★VKRT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Junior Soprano should have stopped the shot.
The wind increased when Luisinho Barral made the kick off in the second half. When Felix Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Felix Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Junior Soprano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 57th minute of play. Luisinho Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Barral in the 62nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-2 in the right cross in the 64th match minute before Junior Soprano had time to react. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Betão de Alcântara was substituted for Luisinho Barral. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão de Alcântara in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ronaldo Salah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ronaldo Salah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Betão de Alcântara came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Junior Soprano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save HOSATO★★★★★VKRT from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Junior Soprano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute Betão de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Betão de Alcântara sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. After 95 minutes of play, HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Betão de Alcântara made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Clóvis Macedo was substituted for Ronaldo Salah.
