When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Daniel Brasil hit a great ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute of the match, Betão Quirino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Daniel Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Brasil notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. A wasted opportunity for Panama. 29 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Miralles came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bandelocos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nilson do Vale quite easily take care of the ball. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Daniel Brasil sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nilson do Vale in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rafael Sobis hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Daniel Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Garrido's late challenge caught a Bandelocos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Garrido helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Varela came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Daniel Brasil made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 84th minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Sobis in the 86th minute of play. When Claudinei Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandelocos's protests and gave Claudinei Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Sobis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bandelocos.
