An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of play forced Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Rulli in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Mänsur Rzayev. Şamaxı Bankirlər's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 35th minute. The throw-in from Luca Zorita in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Şamaxı Bankirlər's Akhilendra Murthy. After 38 played minutes Şamaxı Bankirlər got a freekick which was hit by Teymur Dünyamaliyev. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 39th minute of play forced Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 40th minute. Mexico's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alfredo Rulli 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Mänsur Rzayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mänsur Rzayev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lautaro Mancebo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 58 minute of play. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mänsur Rzayev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Rulli in the 71st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Şamaxı Bankirlər got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Druțu Cristian ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Mänsur Rzayev however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Mänsur Rzayev threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Mänsur Rzayev made a huge save. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Mänsur Rzayev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
