Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Steffen Gimlinge got the match started through his kick off. After 5 minutes, Bianco Natale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Universidad Nacional and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Bianco Natale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 minutes, Steffen Gimlinge made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Steffen Gimlinge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Steffen Gimlinge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Eustaquio Mede got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Steffen Gimlinge sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Steffen Gimlinge showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 29 minute of play. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Club Universidad Nacional's Angel Morales couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. In the 43rd minute, Steffen Gimlinge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Universidad Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. When Steffen Gimlinge came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Club Universidad Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Gimlinge couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen Gimlinge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Steffen Gimlinge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant.
