The corner led Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Danilo Dionísio to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. During the 19th minute of the match Marcelo Coutinho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcelo Coutinho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
