Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claudio Quiroga started the match with the kick off. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostol Sokolov having to interfere. Carlos Galván made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monitor Huáscar's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Quiroga in the 19th minute of play. Apostol Sokolov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monitor Huáscar's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nazario Victorica during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nazario Victorica kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Luz Tejedor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Apostol Sokolov. Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Quiroga went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Peru booed when Monitor Huáscar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apostol Sokolov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emmanuel Reyes made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luz Tejedor however managed to control. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostol Sokolov having to interfere. Apostol Sokolov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 86th minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 93rd minute, Antonio Tenorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Monitor Huáscar were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
