The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th match minute, NEGAN y los savadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmad Al Tayyib to maneuver through the defense. Vinicio Librado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Vinicio Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Bakar in the 29th minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kristi Koçiu went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play. Vinicio Librado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Kristi Koçiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Vinicio Librado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by NEGAN y los savadores's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Agustín Saelices managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kristi Koçiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to NEGAN y los savadores getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Rodolfo Bakar hit a great ball. With a little luck, NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Bakar in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. NEGAN y los savadores's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Vinicio Librado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Vinicio Librado made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinicio Librado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Kristi Koçiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Vinicio Librado in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lisandro Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after NEGAN y los savadores's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but NEGAN y los savadores's Vinicio Librado did a great save. In the 88th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Librado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Vinicio Librado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 92 minutes into the game, NEGAN y los savadores's Rodolfo Bakar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.
