The PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Per-Oskar Sandström threw the ball into play from the sideline. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Asım Arif Rasi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. PP Plessydask's Jan Abrahamsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Alvarez in the 15th minute of play. Jan Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Agustín Alvarez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Abrahamsson. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Artemio Lastur ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Artemio Lastur got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cafu Negri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jan Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Alvarez in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Asım Arif Rasi hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Marques got free with Cafu Negri in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Usain Bolt in the 36th minute of play forced PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Jan Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Zalayeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hjalmar Haegg to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Haegg came free, but Cafu Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cafu Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Haegg in the 55th minute of play. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Cafu Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer in the 64th minute of play. PP Plessydask were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Artemio Lastur took the corner. After taking down the ball on PP Plessydask's corner Artemio Lastur fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cafu Negri quite easily take care of the ball. Jan Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Zalayeta in the 85th minute of the match. After some careless play in the PP Plessydask defense, Marcelo Zalayeta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Abrahamsson. The PP Plessydask fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Abrahamsson should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Gustavo Matosas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Palle Pottenstein in the 94th minute of play forced PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's goalkeeper Cafu Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the PP Plessydask defense, Procopio Mayorga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Abrahamsson. The PP Plessydask fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Abrahamsson should have stopped the shot. The PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
