In the 6th minute, Hisingstads BK's Szymon Parzysz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Palmquist. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anders Kruse in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute, Hisingstads BK's Martin Palmquist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. A hard shot 16 in the game by Anders Kruse from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. 20 minutes into the match, Hisingstads BK's Anders Kruse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Hisingstads BK were awarded a corner. Zézinho Vasconcelos went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Kruse in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Holm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Hisingstads BK's Anders Kruse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tor Holm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Julio Vera had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Zézinho Vasconcelos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tor Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Kruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rdth minute of the game Anders Kruse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anders Kruse succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. In the 59th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hisingstads BK's Tor Holm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Hisingstads BK from getting a goal against them. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Tor Holm despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Hisingstads BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Slegers didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Hisingstads BK's goalkeeper Tor Holm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Szymon Parzysz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Hisingstads BK had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
