Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Okan Golovichev showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Okan Golovichev got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ahmet Baki Yamaç blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Karapinar's Marcus Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 32nd minute of play forced Karapinar's goalkeeper Marcus Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Golovichev in the 39th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thad Castle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Karapinar's zone, Kevin Mastache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Mazza came out of the goal and Kevin Mastache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcus Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 65th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Okan Golovichev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Mazza made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Ignacio Mastache sent off a good shot on target. Marcus Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
