Judas Verón came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jailson Aparecido could save by the left post. Belgrano de Pibasog's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blue Dolar in the 38th minute. México Eterno MZC's Jailson Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Abadia in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of México Eterno MZC booed when Belgrano de Pibasog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Jaunzuria didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano de Pibasog's zone, Aristide Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Raggio came out of the goal and Aristide Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Ciuvică in the 63rd minute of play. Jailson Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Judas Verón in the 71st minute of play. When Aristide Ciuvică came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the México Eterno MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristide Ciuvică couldn't finish the play. Belgrano de Pibasog's Iulian Ilinca was substituted for Judas Verón. México Eterno MZC's Richart Richardsson was substituted for Aristide Ciuvică. Iulian Ilinca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Arsene Van Mechelen threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belgrano de Pibasog's Clemente Gaizkine quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
