When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tomas Illescas sped through Foguera's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santiago Cañizares. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Cañizares having to interfere.
