In the 17th minute, Sebastian Villa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The coaching staff of Social y Dep. Patagonia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonardo Orlondo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 30th minute, one of Social y Dep. Patagonia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Social y Dep. Patagonia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Vermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The excitement rose when Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo after 45 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Social y Dep. Patagonia's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Villa scored 0-12 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Vermudo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 92 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 0-15 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Vermudo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
