Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leopoldo Baraquiel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Aparecido in the 7th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Alexander Carballo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosario Central the free kick. In the 19thth minute of the game Leopoldo Baraquiel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play forced Rosario Central's goalkeeper Julio Garay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Garay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 26 minutes in the game, Vilmantas Girdauskas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Horácio Aparecido nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 38 minutes of play, Rosario Central's Leopoldo Baraquiel made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Julio Garay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rosario Central's Toni Martinovic got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Garay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Toni Martinovic made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Hugo Ferrant made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rosario Central's Toni Martinovic. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Baraquiel's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Horácio Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute Toto Mansilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Leopoldo Baraquiel made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. Toto Mansilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Rosario Central's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
