Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anko Anko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anko Anko having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anko Anko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thiago Pliego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeo Thomas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 22nd minute of play forced Garchofila FC's goalkeeper Anko Anko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Garchofila FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Chile's Felix Garrido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lisandro Gizon in the 26 minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Garchofila FC's Amadeo Thomas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anko Anko came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeo Thomas got free with Thiago Pliego in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anko Anko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chile's Felix Garrido got a free kick in the 44th minute. Anko Anko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeo Thomas to make the kick off. With a little luck, Garchofila FC's Anko Anko got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garchofila FC's Dennis Roberto got a free kick in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anko Anko saved Garchofila FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of play forced Garchofila FC's goalkeeper Anko Anko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anko Anko made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. Anko Anko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
