Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but László Madaras showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's Attila Mesterházy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Kilstedt got free with Benito Sanz in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's László Madaras in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Christian Kilstedt sent off a good shot on target. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máté Elek in the 42nd minute of the match.

Ray Abascal's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ray Abascal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 50th minute, Ray Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC's Attila Mesterházy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Karel Suryoprayogo came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. László Madaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by László Csank in the 77th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. László Csank might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. László Csank ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC made a substitution. Calistrat Tomulescu replaced Karel Suryoprayogo. In the 89th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
