FC Dream Team's Albino Oskarbi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Carvalhais in the 9th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 12 minutes, Alexandre Carvalhais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dream Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Carvalhais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Almeida in the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Oskarbi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Oskarbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Renan Demangeon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Dream Team's Albino Oskarbi did a great save. 58 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Albino Oskarbi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albino Oskarbi. Albino Oskarbi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. FC Dream Team's Albino Oskarbi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Dream Team from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Dream Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel van Beek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Albino Oskarbi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play. Albino Oskarbi made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target.
