Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Santiago Mino kicked off to start the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Mino in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Santiago Mino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Alfredo Joey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 11 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Joey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Arnoldo Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Medina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Arnoldo Medina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Arnoldo Medina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnoldo Medina really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 28th minute Arnoldo Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Arnoldo Medina took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. In the 38th minute, Arnoldo Medina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Medina in the 45th minute of the match. When Arkadiusz Glowacki fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Arkadiusz Glowacki a yellow card for diving instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Palermo fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Palermo's Santiago Mino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arnoldo Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Mino came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Medina struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Santiago Mino might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Mino ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnoldo Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Medina in the 83rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palermo's Ariel Austin was substituted for Isaias Grove. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patryk Wiater in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Joey having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 97th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
