Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. The corner ended in Wambasther Özil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. 10 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's Dedé Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Orlando da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando da Cunha came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlando da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 40th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dedé Correia in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dedé Correia made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Dedé Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Dedé Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garopaba F.C made a substitution. Rogelio Urtungo replaced Dedé Correia. Orlando da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marconi Galvan's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marconi Galvan helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garopaba F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 75th minute, the referee gave Ecuador a penalty. Daniel Zorita looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Orlando da Cunha. 78 minutes into the match, Rogelio Urtungo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogelio Urtungo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Yanne Van Meerbeeck charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yanne Van Meerbeeck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 minutes, Primitivo Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Garopaba F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Garopaba F.C booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's Rogelio Urtungo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Garopaba F.C's Rogelio Urtungo. But to his dismay, Rogelio Urtungo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4.
