Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ionică Savu tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Emil Atanasiu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. David Jönsätt struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Nirosxn 08. 19 minutes into the match, David Jönsätt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Jönsätt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 22nd minute of the match, Ionică Savu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Robert Acalinei kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mugurel Slătineanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through AFC Nirosxn 08's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mugurel Slătineanu. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugurel Slătineanu having to make a save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Jönsätt to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Emil Atanasiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Nirosxn 08's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Atanasiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, AFC Nirosxn 08's Cornelio Pelayo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 61 minutes into the match, Ionică Savu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mugurel Slătineanu made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 71st minute of play forced AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper Mugurel Slătineanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. AFC Nirosxn 08's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Atanasiu in the 74th minute of play. When AFC Nirosxn 08's Ionică Savu in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that AFC Nirosxn 08's Mugurel Slătineanu managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute of play forced AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper Mugurel Slătineanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when David Jönsätt came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Jönsätt in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Jönsätt in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes, AFC Nirosxn 08's Emil Atanasiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC Nirosxn 08 reached it. The supporters of AFC Nirosxn 08 booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
