Pedro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Estebano Vuelta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tio Cabezon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Ciruel Academy got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Morera. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Estebano Vuelta in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Estebano Vuelta couldn't finish the play. After 82 played minutes, Ciruel Academy's Florentino Rodriguez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ciruel Academy reached it. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Puyol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Puyol during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ciruel Academy's José Puyol got a free kick in the 94th minute.
