Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Ubaldo Fillol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xu Yun Quan took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Fillol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. C. A. Independiente's Ubaldo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Xu Yun Quan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xu Yun Quan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Xu Yun Quan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C. A. Independiente's Ubaldo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Fillol. Ubaldo Fillol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ubaldo Fillol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Hayden Winslow kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes, C. A. Independiente's Reynaldo Ennis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Independiente reached it. After 77 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Roy Huston. In the 86th minute, Xu Yun Quan made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The audience held their breath when Joshua Secada in the 91st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ubaldo Fillol's left hand side. C. A. Independiente's Ubaldo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of play.
