Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoni Domamir in the 4th minute of the match. Antoni Domamir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Czeslaw Karwowski made a great header on Sparta Torex's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Petka in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominik Kornatowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Antoni Domamir put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 97 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Petka came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
