Adolfo Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Saúl Gentiletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaidas Maciulevičius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Saúl Gentiletti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saúl Gentiletti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Saúl Gentiletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Adolfo Carrizo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Carrizo saved FC Žalia Giria from getting behind. In the 29th match minute, FC Žalia Giria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saúl Gentiletti to maneuver through the defense. Saúl Gentilettis short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Saúl Gentiletti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Vaidas Maciulevičius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Žalia Giria and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, FC Žalia Giria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaidas Maciulevičius to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Žalia Giria's Saúl Gentiletti. But to his dismay, Saúl Gentiletti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saúl Gentiletti. Adolfo Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saúl Gentiletti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Saúl Gentiletti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Saúl Gentiletti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Adolfo Carrizo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Saúl Gentiletti fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Žalia Giria's protests and gave Saúl Gentiletti a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Žalia Giria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Gentiletti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Carrizo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolfo Carrizo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC Žalia Giria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vytautas Petkus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Tomas Illescas hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Saúl Gentiletti might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saúl Gentiletti ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 91 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Carrizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's Vaidas Maciulevičius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vaidas Maciulevičius scored 3-1 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Žalia Giria were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
