When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Franco Benvenuto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilie Hurmuz got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Ilie Hurmuz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arquímedes Cesario scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Telmo Camargo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Telmo Camargo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 28th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Timo!'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Hurmuz in the 32nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some careless play in the Timo! defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Amor. The Timo! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Amor should have stopped the shot. Elpidio Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Ilie Hurmuz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Walmyr Falcão fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timo!'s protests and gave Walmyr Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. Walmyr Falcão hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.
Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Elpidio Amor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abram Sarmiento went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Elpidio Amor made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Hurmuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Timo!'s zone, Kevin Mastache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Amor came out of the goal and Kevin Mastache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 71st minute of play. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Timo! made a substitution. Alexandr Lunin replaced Franco Benvenuto. Ilie Hurmuz made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Izydor Karbowski immediately put the ball in play. 81 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Karbowski came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Amor made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Pascual Carballar sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Gelacio came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Hurmuz in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandr Lunin in the 87th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Secada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Elpidio Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Amor having to interfere. In the 94th minute Alexandr Lunin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
