Alfred Chmelyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Sumaré Sport Club booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's Zé Trigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th play minute Zé Trigo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 1-0. Richard Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Richard Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sumaré Sport Club's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sumaré Sport Club's Richard Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillermo Mariano made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Alfred Chmelyk scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the game, Alfred Chmelyk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sumaré Sport Club's Richard Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Sumaré Sport Club from getting a goal against them. Richard Fontes made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Richard Fontes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Jessica Xerifão didn't quite understand what happened when in the 66 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The supporters of Sumaré Sport Club booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 87th minute, Alfred Chmelyk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumaré Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Chmelyk in the 90th minute of play.
