The supporters of Los Potrillos booed when Kilometro 30 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Urtsua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Cordeara made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Abelardo Cloyo sent off a good shot on target. Filiberto Figueroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Incendio in the 38th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Cloyo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Platon charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Candido Victoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Filiberto Figueroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Cordeara having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Cloyo in the 94th minute of play forced Kilometro 30's goalkeeper Benjamin Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
