With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Cloyo in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeronimo Abella saved INDEPENDIENTE F.C. from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Hernan Min sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filiberto Figueroa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nemesio Tabb in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filiberto Figueroa saved Los Potrillos from getting behind. Los Potrillos's Filiberto Figueroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Senon in the 21st minute of play. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lisandro Gergori in the 22nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Los Potrillos's goalie and right to Cristian Ado. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Los Potrillos's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of Los Potrillos booed when INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Tabb didn't get a good kick on the ball. 0-1 became the score in the 34th minute when Nemesio Tabb elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Abelardo Cloyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Abella having to interfere. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Isidoro Senon got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Nemesio Tabb made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Los Potrillos's Filiberto Figueroa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Filiberto Figueroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Senon in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Los Potrillos's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Senon came free, but Filiberto Figueroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half INDEPENDIENTE F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nemesio Tabb made a kick off. If Isidoro Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Figueroa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nemesio Tabb's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Nemesio Tabb dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Filiberto Figueroa came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Nemesio Tabb. But to his dismay, Nemesio Tabb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE F.C. booed when Los Potrillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Platon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Min to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Abelardo Cloyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Potrillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Cloyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeronimo Abella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goalkeeper Jeronimo Abella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s zone, Abelardo Cloyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Abella came out of the goal and Abelardo Cloyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Senon got free with Filiberto Figueroa in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Raimundo Platon fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Potrillos's protests and gave Raimundo Platon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Los Potrillos's Enzo Rios got a free kick in the 79th minute. Isidoro Senon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Enzo Rios fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Potrillos's protests and gave Enzo Rios a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Nemesio Tabb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Potrillos's Filiberto Figueroa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Filiberto Figueroa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nemesio Tabb showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 91 minute of play. After 94 played minutes Los Potrillos got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Platon. With splendid footwork Nemesio Tabb arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-6 by the left pole in the game's 96th minute.
