Manuel Vianna started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Encanto booed when Oranil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmílson Catarinense scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Encanto's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Catarinense came free, but Eliseu Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Edmílson Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Eliseu Tasso. Encanto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Eliseu Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edmílson Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Encanto's Manuel Vianna got a free kick in the 37th minute. Eliseu Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Chicão Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Oranil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Vianna, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmílson Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Encanto's Eliseu Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Encanto from getting a goal against them. After 63 minutes, Edmílson Catarinense made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Encanto's Eliseu Tasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Nilson Leão got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Vianna in the 71st minute of play forced Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Kiko Teixeira got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th match minute, Oranil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Freire to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Oranil's zone, Manuel Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Velloso came out of the goal and Manuel Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81st play minutes Edmílson Catarinense shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Eliseu Tasso and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 84th minute, Sérgio Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Encanto getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Chicão Valle hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oranil walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
