Filiberto Figueroa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico Palmeira went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Nico Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Encanto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Palmeira couldn't finish the play. 0-3 became the score in the 25th minute when Manuel Vianna elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Manuel Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Encanto getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Chicão Valle hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes, Los Potrillos's Raimundo Platon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseu Tasso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Potrillos reached it. Abelardo Cloyo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eliseu Tasso. Encanto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustavo Valladares hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Potrillos's zone, Manuel Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Figueroa came out of the goal and Manuel Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eliseu Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Vianna to make the kick off. Eliseu Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Manuel Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Encanto's Nico Palmeira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filiberto Figueroa. Filiberto Figueroa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Nico Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Figueroa having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Manuel Vianna notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Los Potrillos's Filiberto Figueroa. Filiberto Figueroa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Encanto's Manuel Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Manuel Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Valladares's late challenge caught a Los Potrillos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Valladares.
