The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Edmílson Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Wojciech Smolarek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Leão. After 33 minutes of play, Oranil's Edmílson Catarinense made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wojciech Smolarek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmílson Catarinense's late challenge caught a WKS Marcowe Minionki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Wojciech Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Catarinense in the 42nd minute of play. Edmílson Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Wojciech Smolarek made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patryk Nieruchliwy in the 68th minute of play forced Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Catarinense in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wojciech Smolarek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 played minutes WKS Marcowe Minionki got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Karwowski. Edmílson Catarinense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Wojciech Smolarek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Juan Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Karwowski in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber Saldanha in the 82nd minute of play forced WKS Marcowe Minionki's goalkeeper Wojciech Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wiktor Jajecznica charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiktor Jajecznica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wojciech Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oranil walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
