Stefan Orlicki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 88 minutes into the game, Tigre's Masao Koriotto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lukács Bánhegyi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Ernesto Belarmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Orlicki having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Hungarian Olympic players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
