Deportivo Ortegano's Korneliusz Rasimowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zenon Pysz in the 25th minute of play. Orland Uceda struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Wincent Trac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Ortegano. With a little luck, RumpBell's Wincent Trac got control of the ball when Nicasio Guipuzcoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wincent Trac was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Ortegano's zone, Hardo Vatsar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korneliusz Rasimowicz came out of the goal and Hardo Vatsar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Deportivo Ortegano's Dario Draxler was substituted for Orland Uceda. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hardo Vatsar to make the kick off. If Dario Draxler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Korneliusz Rasimowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Pysz in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Hardo Vatsar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Rasimowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenon Pysz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Korneliusz Rasimowicz when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
