Ditlev Dønkjær fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Pena having to interfere. Giovanni Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åge Hasle in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Júbilo Iwata's goal looked a bit too open when Nicko Kappelskov came free, but Giovanni Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerônimo Mangueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Valter Aablad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Mangueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valter Aablad was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. With a little luck, YNWA classic's Valter Aablad got control of the ball when Jerônimo Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in YNWA classic's zone, Jerônimo Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valter Aablad came out of the goal and Jerônimo Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, YNWA classic's Valter Aablad got control of the ball when Jerônimo Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valter Aablad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Xabier's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Valter Aablad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Mangueira in the 81st minute of play. Despite this Valter Aablad quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 92nd minute, Åge Hasle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
