After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Renan Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the game, Alex Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Loser FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lupere FC - DMZ the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Baptista got free with Eliseu Negri in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Serginho de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupere FC - DMZ's protests and gave Serginho de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead.
