Strömsbro IF's Felix Ekrot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Breno Ceresso in the 40 minute of the game. Per-Olof Walroth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Lima's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ivan Billberg hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Pedro Luís Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Rosen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. For all the effort they put into the match, the Strömsbro IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
