The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nils-Åke Telin kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. SAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strömsbro IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, SAS's Wellington Penha got a free kick in the 17th minute. Ivan Billberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lúcio Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Oskar Pihlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Rosen in the 29th minute of play. Per-Olof Walroth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cafu Mandrak in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Rosen in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lúcio Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Rosen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Strömsbro IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Germano Bertassi scored to the left of an out of position Per-Olof Walroth, making the score, 1-0. In the 45th minute, Nils-Åke Telin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu de Souza in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hjalmar Ahlén hit a great ball. If Ivan Billberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivan Billberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Lúcio Rodrigues made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, SAS's goalkeeper Lúcio Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Rosen. Sandro Velasco made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Strömsbro IF's Felix Ekrot. Sandro Velasco hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sebastian Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strömsbro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Rosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Billberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Lúcio Rodrigues skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 80 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Vieira came free, but Per-Olof Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Sebastian Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strömsbro IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Rosen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Billberg in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Jens-Ola Norberg got a free kick in the 93rd minute. SAS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Strömsbro IF for a fine match.
